In 1985, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society released a book called Life – How Did It Get Here? By Evolution Or By Creation?, a book that attempts to do away with evolution as a valid scientific theory and prove creationism. But just because it’s three decades old, doesn’t mean the publishers think it has become outdated. On the contrary, they released a new paperback print in 2006. As the foreword states:
Millions of people today believe in evolution. Other millions believe in creation. Still others are uncertain what to believe. This book is for all such people. It presents a thoroughly researched examination of how life got here – and what this means for the future.
The writer immediately puts the acceptance of evolution and the belief in creationism on the same level. No distinction is being made between the source of these positions. Granted, he doesn’t have to in his foreword, but seeing as there is a world of difference between the two sides, it wouldn’t be an unnecessary luxury to give it at least a mention. Lastly, the writer claims that this is a thoroughly researched examination. We’ll see how that holds up.
